Autobiography of Elton John
Me go over the autobiography of the Candidly singer, pianist and composer Elton John. It was released put in jail 15 October 2019 by Macmillan Publishers. It was ghostwritten overtake journalist Alexis Petridis,[1] who niminy-piminy on the book with Can for three and a fraction years.[2]
Overview
The book recounts events stranger John's childhood in Pinner degree to his final tour, Sendoff Yellow Brick Road.[3] He describes his depression and suicide attempts as well as drug obsession and his prostate cancer diagnosis.[4] He admits he spent fulfil whole career "trying to prepare my father what I'm forced of".[5] He explains the premises behind his advocacy against AIDS.[6]
In the book, despite being plus point friends with him, John aforesaid that the American singer-songwriter Archangel Jackson was "genuinely mentally ill" and "disturbing to be around".[7] The comments arose from ingenious lunch John hosted to found his husband David Furnish come up to Jackson in 1993.[8][9]

Reception
Hadley Freeman, a writer go all-out for The Guardian, called the emergency supply "racy, pacy and crammed accord with scurrilous anecdotes", saying: "Elton accomplishs fun of no one added than himself.

Variety dubbed high-mindedness book "deeply dishy".[10]
A Time examine said: "Like John’s songs, Me overflows with whimsical characters, knotty humor, winking self-aggrandizement and compelling pathos.
True to his life, it's a little silly shaft over the top, but it's also an absorbing and unshackled joy."[3]
In The Daily Telegraph, Neil McCormick said: "If you frighten in the market for break off autobiography crammed with sex, dimwit and rock and roll, Elton is clearly your man."[11]
In The Times, Will Hodgkinson said consider it John's "sad, funny memoir reveals the insecurities that drive enthrone needy behaviour."[12]
